As a dog owner I know how you feel when you want to go away, take a day trip or even just work late; who is going to look after the dog? This is where Happy Days makes it a little easier!

We know many safe, local walks which dogs love with plenty of interesting smells and places to explore.

A Happy Days Dog Walker will pick your dog up from home and head out to one of our favourite walks. We particularly like Nidd Gorge, Crimple Beck and Woods, Killinghall Moor, Plompton Rocks and the Spofforth railway path.

Before we leave, water bowls will be topped up along with any other duties such as meals and medication. We guarantee that your dog will return home safe, happy and tired after an excellent workout.

Puppies need stimulation, social interaction and sometimes just a cuddle and a play to keep them happy.

Left alone for long periods of time puppies will develop a catalogue of behavioural problems such as barking issues, chewing, and even aggression. These are highly regular outcomes of dogs who are lacking in stimulation, they become bored, nervous, lonely, scared and they show this by displaying destructive behaviours.

We are experienced with puppy training and can offer this and regular puppy visits should they be required.

We also love our feline friends!

Happy Days offer house visits for when you are away from home. We will visit your house to feed, water, change the cat litter and care for your cat. We will talk to them, play with them and generally make a fuss of them.

Animals need routine and disruption can cause anxiety. Rather than placing your pets in unfamiliar catteries, Happy Days offers a professional and reliable alternative for the care of your cat.

When you wish to go away but are unable to take your dog with you, it can be very difficult.

Some dogs (and owners) do not like using kennels as they may get stressed or upset. Having his or her routine disturbed can worry or distress your dog, however help is at hand in the form of the Happy Days dog minding service.

This service allows your dog to stay in the comfort of your own home with the security of familiar surroundings, smells and sounds while you are away.

This is especially good for older dogs who prefer their home comforts.

Your dog will get a morning and evening walk included in the price and can be taken on our afternoon social walks at an extra charge.

PLEASE NOTE: Spaces are very limited so please book in advance to ensure your pet has a stress free time and plenty of exercise!

Happy Days caters for all animals so whether you have a hamster or a horse we can help.

We are experienced with farm animals including sheep, horses, pigs, alpacas and chickens.

Our boarding facilities for small animals will guaranteed your pet comfort who will get all the love and attention they would receive in their own home.

All of our hutches are 6 feet by 2 feet as recommended by the RWAF. We have both indoor and outdoor hutches. There are also two large Runs in our secure garden which is always supervised.

We can supply Excel nuggets for rabbits and guinea pigs free of charge with fresh fruit, herbs, vegetables and hay are also readily available for your furry friends.
